The last few months of the year are hectic. From Halloween until New Year’s, it can seem like the holidays are nonstop. To help cut expenses, here are fun ways to decorate for Thanksgiving by using Halloween decor.
Sticking LED candles such as electronic tea lights around the house can give it an eerie vibe for October. In November, you can put the candles in displays with red, orange, and brown leaves or fall-colored ribbons. This will work as table centerpieces, as a decoration above the mantle, by windows, or anywhere you want to add an extra glow.
Pumpkins aren’t just for jack-o’-lantern carving. Uncarved pumpkins will last through November on your front porch. You can also go to grocery stores that stock pumpkins and buy any leftover after Halloween. If you’re still worried your pumpkins won’t last, you can spray them with WD-40 and keep them out of rain and direct sunlight to help them last longer.
Sometimes people like to use hay bales as part of Halloween decor. Hay bales can prop up skeletons or serve as a backdrop for spooky scarecrows. Then, when you put the Halloween decorations away, you can repurpose the hay bales to display some pumpkins and faux foliage.
